IXL Anti-Friction Metal Conditioner has been used since 1987 to reduce friction, heat and wear between ferrous-based metals. IXL itself is not a lubricant. Rather, it is a metal conditioner that increases the friction-fighting capabilities of lubricants such as oil (including synthetics), grease, hydraulic fluid, etc.

IXL works at the molecular level to reduce friction by penetrating into, and bonding onto, the microscopic openings on the walls of ferrous-based metals. The surfaces become smoother and denser. The resultant friction reduction decreases heat, metal expansion, and eventual wear. The benefits are reduced maintenance activities (and costs!), increased fuel efficiencies and prolonged equipment life.

IXL bonds only to metal--not to plastic, paper, or fiber. It will not clog filters, pipes, injectors, or supply lines. Additionally, IXL does not build, or "accumulate", upon itself as do other additives, nor does it contain Moly, PTFE, or graphite.

Typical Uses for the IXL Anti-Friction Metal Conditioner:

IXL is used as a friction reducer and performance enhancer in gas or diesel engines, transmissions, automatic or standard gear boxes, Freon air-conditioning units, electric motors, turbos, out drives, wheel bearings, lathe and cutting applications, or in other applications or operating conditions where ferrous metals work against each other causing friction. The IXL Anti-Friction Metal Conditioner does not replace the lubricant; rather it is added directly to the existing lubricant as an metal conditioner.

IXL treats the metal, not the oil. It is not a lubricant fortifier such as graphite, Moly, or TFE. IXL does not build or accumulate upon itself and will not clog filters. IXL will not change critical operating tolerances.
