How IXL Works

Since 1987, IXL Anti-Friction Metal Conditioner has been used to reduce friction and the resultant heat, metal expansion, and wear caused when two ferrous-based metals work against each other. IXL is not a lubricant. Rather, it is a metal conditioner used to increase the friction-fighting power of oil (including synthetics), grease, or hydraulic fluid.

IXL works at the molecular level by penetrating into, and bonding onto, the microscopic pores on the walls of metal surfaces. These surfaces become smoother and denser. By reducing more effectively friction than through the use of lubricants alone, IXL decreases equipment wear and maintenance activities while conversely increasing equipment power and efficiency!

IXL bonds only to metal--not to plastic, paper, or fiber. It will not clog filters, pipes, injectors, or supply lines.
